Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Perform maintenance and repair of heavy construction and maintenance equipment such as plow/sanding trucks, loaders, and light support gear
  2. Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
  3. Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
  4. Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
Qualifications:
  1. Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off-Road)
  2. Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset
  3. CVIP mechanic license is an asset
  4. Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  5. Valid Driver’s License with the ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
  6. Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams
  7. Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Work Conditions:
  1. Work is based in various locations across Alberta, with occasional travel to field operations
  2. Preference may be given to local applicants due to the nature of the work
  3. As LHL responds to changing weather conditions, some on-call duties may be required
  4. Comprehensive benefits provided through CLAC, including Health, Dental, RSP, and Pension
Rates & Premiums:
  1. Base hourly rate of $46.18/hour
  2. Skilled trade premium of $3/hour in certain Alberta locations (Fox Creek, Valleyview, Hinton, Whitecourt)
  3. Skilled trade premium of $5/hour in the Grande Prairie region
