TDW is seeking an Excavator Operator in Canada to safely operate heavy equipment and support pipeline construction, maintenance, and restoration projects. You will conduct ground-disturbance aware work near live lines, read plans, and coordinate with field crews to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Minimum 5 years’ experience on hotlines, valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 and H2S Alive are required, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience digging on hotlines.
• Pipeline construction or maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid/CPR, and CSTS/CSO certifications.

This role performs equipment inspections, excavation activities, material handling, and site preparation while ensuring compliance with company safety policies, ground disturbance protocols, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment excavators in a safe and efficient manner.Perform excavation work around existing pipelines (live lines) and utilities while following ground disturbance requirements.Assist with pipeline exposure, repairs, installation, critical lifts, and restoration activities.Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair requirements.Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, fueling, and greasing of equipment.Read and interpret stakes, maps, locates, work plans, and project specifications.Work closely with field crews, labourers, and supervisors to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.Maintain awareness of underground and overhead hazards during equipment operation.Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.Participate in daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and inspections.Comply with all company, client, environmental, and regulatory requirements.May perform other related duties as assigned.ExperienceHigh school diploma/GED required.Experience in energy or oil gas, pipeline, and water & sewage industry a plusMinimum of 5 years’ experience digging on hotlines.Valid class 5 driver's license (No GDL) (class 1 or 3 considered an asset)Pipeline construction or maintenance experienceEquipment certifications and operator trainingMust have valid; Ground Disturbance Level 2, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid/CPR and CSTS/CSO or equivalentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWilling to travel extensively.Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English.
