Job summary

Stephenson's Rental Services in Edmonton is seeking a Class 3 Driver who safely delivers and picks up equipment, explains operations to customers, and ensures a positive, on-time experience. You will perform daily vehicle inspections, secure loads, document run sheets, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while adhering to safety policies and PPE requirements.

This role requires a valid Class 3 license, a clean abstract, and at least two years of delivery experience, with certifications in TDG,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 3 Driver's License.
• Recent abstract within 30 days must be submitted with application.
• 2 years of commercial truck driving and delivery experience in a Class 3 vehicle.
• Forklift and Heavy Equipment Operators licenses are assets.
• Certifications: Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Aerial Lift, Forklift Training, Working at Heights Training.
• A Class 3 license lets you drive: a truck with a gross weight over 11,000 kg; towed vehicle limits specified.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver heavy/medium equipment safely and explain operations to customers where applicable.
• Complete daily truck inspections at the start of the day to ensure a safe workday.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and loaded and unloaded in a safe manner within the time parameters given by the customer.
• Assist customers in handling large items.
• Follow all procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products for customers.
• Ensure deliveries and pick-ups are signed off by customers and maintain inventory control documents pertaining to the rental management system.
• When picking up equipment, check for damages and immediately report any known damages to your Manager.
• Deliver at dock level using the double axle roll-off system for loading and unloading equipment.
• Occasionally responsible for equipment recovery which may require a winch.
• Complete all reports related to vehicle usage such as run sheets, inspection reports and maintenance.
