Job description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Performs repairs on all types of equipment and work tools.
  • Operates equipment to diagnose problems and inspects equipment for defects.
  • Assists supervisors, co-workers with a variety of mechanic, and related tasks as necessary.
  • Writes thorough repair summaries and able to review summaries of more junior technicians.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Mechanical and fabrication knowledge usually obtained through a 2 yr. post-secondary degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
  • Three or more years of knowledge of maintenance procedures and tooling obtained through previous work experience in mechanic and light welding.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (or ability to obtain) with acceptable driving record.
  • Must have own assortment of hand tools.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • Knowledge of construction equipment maintenance including welding, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, A/C systems, emissions, diesel, gasoline, and record keeping systems.
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat with tanker endorsement.

$25.90 - $35.61 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
