Job Description

Liebherr is seeking a Heavy Duty Workshop Mechanic to service and repair mobile cranes at our dealership. In this role, you will diagnose and maintain equipment using Liebherr OEM training and advanced tools, ensuring high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction in a well-equipped workshop environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced mechanics to develop their skills with a leading crane manufacturer.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox/drive train, etc., to resolve moderate to complex problems.
  • Perform machinery preparation, scheduled maintenance, repairs, or overhauls, including component replacement, commissioning, and adjustments of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Also, undertake warranty upgrades and recondition components as assigned.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and prepare new and used equipment.
  • Perform routine servicing such as fluid checks, oil and filter changes, greasing, and other maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Ensure components, materials, and equipment meet specifications and that delivery schedules are met.
  • Complete all verifications, reports, and technical documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance; experience with mobile cranes and Liebherr equipment is an asset.
  • Licensed heavy equipment journeyperson; truck and transport certification considered.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • CVIP Certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work a regular Monday to Friday shift.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Accurate reporting and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
