Skylark Ventures is looking for a mechanic to conduct repairs & service on semi trucks & trailers with the goal of increasing our output & workflow volume. A person looking to fill this role should be of adequate physical ability, have experience working on vehicle and with tools, be able to produce coherent work orders detailing work performed and parts used, be willing to participate in shop cleanliness and safety, be able to communicate with customers well, and be willing to receive and employ mechanical instruction. Position Overview:

Business Hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Physical shop is located 2825 Miners Ave, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 4Z4

Full-time, Permanent

Duties & Expectations:

Show up on time ready to work

Maintain cleanliness and safety in your work area and maintain personal and shop tools

Produce legible work orders detailing work completed and materials used

Communication with customers to help understand their needs and vehicular problems

Perform adequate vehicle repairs and maintenance in a timely manner

Repair or replace faulty or damaged vehicle components

Perform or aid in vehicle safety and service inspections

Driving related to service calls and parts runs

Experience & Qualifications:

2 – 4+ years experience working on heavy vehicles or related machinery is preferred

Journeyperson’s heavy duty mechanic or truck and transport mechanic certificate an asset

Class 5 driver’s license is a minimum, Class 1A driver’s license is an asset

Ability to receive instruction and willing to learn new processes

Advanced written and verbal communication

Strong work ethic and high self motivation

Mechanical problem-solving skills

Personal mechanic’s tools are an asset

Adequate physical fitness and ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Compensation & Benefits:

$20 - $40 per hour based on relevant experience
