Job summary

Calmont Truck Centre in Edmonton, AB is seeking a 2nd Year Apprentice to Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician. Join a team of skilled technicians in a fast-paced shop and build your career through hands-on training.

Under supervision, you will perform maintenance and repair of light and heavy-duty trucks, interpret work orders, diagnose faults, and ensure work meets manufacturer specifications and regulations. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits await the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years related industry experience.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Valid Class 3 Drivers License considered an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain work orders from Shop Foreman and review them to ensure understanding.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Diagnose the source of faults and malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Perform work as noted on work order and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems with accuracy and efficiency.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed.
• Test repaired vehicles for proper performance to ensure that completed work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
• Complete detailed written report for the completion of work order.

Valid Class 5 Drivers License
