Our New Specialty Pump division located at our Belleville location at 680 Sidney Street, Belleville, ON is a fast paced, team orientated atmosphere that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available for our customers. This position requires a hard-working, dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail, who can excel in a busy, team-oriented environment. The successful candidates will be able to provide excellent customer relations, possess strong teamwork ethics, as well as having strong organizational and prioritizing skills. Previous experience with rental equipment or a strong background in a related field would be an asset. Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain large volume engine driven pumps both diesel and gas powered 6” and larger
  • Maintain accurate records of repair times and communicate expectations;
  • Accurately review your work orders, and parts requests to ensure repairs are being performed to their maximum potential;
  • Prepare and present accurate repair quotes to customer in a timely manner;
  • Highlight, support and maintain a strong emphasis on Health and Safety policies and culture to the team;
  • Maintain close communication with the Regional Service Manager to ensure continuous and productive work flow;
  • Operate and maintain all shop equipment and ensure a safe, clean & organized shop area;
  • Ensure proper parts ordering and receiving on work orders;
  • Maintain a positive team environment while working and assisting other technicians;
  • Help train, support and emphasize company initiatives with respect to bettering our repair and turnaround times;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current/valid 421a license or consideration will be given to level 3 - 421a apprentice who has completed 3 years of heavy tech at approved college- All other applicants will not be considered for this position unless above requirements are met;
  • Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
  • Hands on experience in the repair and service/maintenance requirements for various types of heavy construction equipment;
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards;
  • Ability to work independently, and in a team atmosphere;
  • Good communication and people skills;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills;
  • Efficient in using scheduling software to manage daily work flow and shifting priorities.

Preference will be given to relative pump experience;

Ability to obtain a Canadian Nuclear Clearance background check;

Ability to travel to United States as required for training purposes.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

  • Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting; as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience with CAT Equipment;
  • Your own tools are required.

Preference will be given to those with previous large volume pump experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $33.00-$36.00 per hour - Based on experience
