Calgary Airports is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of airport equipment—including runway sweepers, snow removal units, and vegetation control machinery—ensuring assets stay reliable for 24/7 operations. The role requires Red Seal certification, RAIC eligibility, and the ability to work a 4 on/4 off shift with overtime as per the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification or equivalent
• RAIC eligibility with support
• 1-3 years' experience in heavy-duty mechanics
• Safety-sensitive role with pre-employment drug testing

Responsabilités

• Diagnose equipment faults using computerized diagnostic equipment and gauges
• Perform repairs and overhaul components on airport vehicles and heavy equipment
• Implement maintenance procedures per manufacturers and Calgary Airports schedules
• Non-structural welding repairs when needed
• Fabricate specialized parts as required
• Document repairs and updated procedures
• Adhere to all safety practices
