The incumbent inspects the work and determines the nature and extent of repairs, methods, materials, tools, etc. on battery electric vehicles and heavy diesel equipment. It also helps in planning and assigning the work to be performed, with the help of the supervisor and also ensures that downtime due to mechanical problems in the production process is minimized.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and assign the work to be done, with the help of the supervisor.
  • Develop team skills on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure at all times that employees under his or her responsibility and/or any other employee apply health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage current and future parts procurement needs in collaboration with the Management and Procurement team.
  • Actively participate in health and safety meetings and facilitate meeting as required.

Profile requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience;
  • Be a member of the Ontario College of Trades
  • Knowledge of SAP software (asset)
  • Common Core (asset)
