Job description

Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in heavy equipment maintenance technology/technician or heavy/industrial equipment maintenance technologies

Work Setting:

  • Willing to relocate (relocation costs not covered by employer)

Tasks:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Perform other routine maintenance

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses:

  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)

Transportation / Travel Information:

  • Own transportation

  • Physically demanding
