The Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Service Manager , the Shop Mechanic / Field Technician will troubleshoot and repair forestry and construction equipment, working both in the company shop and at various locations or work sites.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forestry and construction equipment using electronic diagnostic tools and calibration devices.
  • Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  • Test and lubricate the machine’s engine and other major components.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Use testing equipment to verify that repairs and maintenance are effective.
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Repair or replace worn parts.
  • Disassemble and reassemble components.
  • Make recommendations for future repairs or maintenance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma.
  • Completion of or enrollment in a Journeyman Mechanic Certification program.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Computer literacy for service documentation and diagnostics.
  • Millwright experience is an asset.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Availability to work 40+ hours per week.
