Job Responsibilities:

• Perform heavy duty cleaning including shower areas, floors, walls, and equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbing machines, buffers, burnishes, pressure washers, and vacuums.
• Follow supervisor instructions for cleaning operations, including light duty cleaning as needed.
• Adhere to YMCA policies and cleaning standards.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS procedures.
• Understand the obligation to report suspected child abuse.
• Value volunteer partnerships and philanthropy in interactions with community members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of hands-on heavy duty cleaning experience in a commercial setting.
• Knowledge of laundry operations is a plus.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
• Proven customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
