GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a part-time janitor to clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and common areas across two buildings. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window cleaning on request, waste collection, and daily maintenance tasks.

The role requires the ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and operate cleaning tools. Applicants must have reliable transportation and pass a criminal background check. This position is based on site in Canada.

Responsabilités

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Stripping and waxing, steam cleaning carpets and cleaning windows – on request only
• Wash windowsills; glass in interior doors, partition, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior- Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily. Standard bathroom procedures are to damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, sweep/mop/scrub floors, etc.
• Assist the supervisor with any other assistance that requires help from the employee.
• Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and reports to supervisors.
• There will be showers, they will have to go between the two buildings (they are across the street from each other).
• Collect building trash daily placing it in approved container and place in designated collection area for subsequent removal.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specs.
• High dusting, wall washing
• compactors, lifting up to 50lbs, using heavy duty machines, changing garbage.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Description

A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.
