Job summary

GDI Services Canada LP is seeking a part-time janitor to clean and maintain facilities in Vaughan, Canada. You will perform floor cleaning, washrooms, common areas, and waste management in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, trash removal, and assisting with additional tasks as needed. Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation to sites.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions and windows.
• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies daily.
• Assist the supervisor and report defects (e.g., urinals, lights).
• Collect and dispose of building trash daily and replace liners.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Description

A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.

Schedule

Part Time, Mon - Fri 6:00 pm - 12:00 am

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Wash windowsills; glass in interior doors, partition, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior- Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily. Standard bathroom procedures are to damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, sweep/mop/scrub floors, etc.
• Assist the supervisor with any other assistance that requires help from the employee.
• Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and reports to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily placing it in approved container and place in designated collection area for subsequent removal.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specs.
• High dusting, wall washing
• Other duties as assigned.
