Position Overview

The janitor is responsible for cleaning all hard floor surfaces, carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and garbage removal. Additional duties may be assigned.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7 hours/day

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and surfaces inside buildings.
• Perform stripping, waxing, steam cleaning carpets, and window cleaning upon request.
• Clean windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrances, interior/exterior; spot clean walls as needed.
• Maintain bathrooms: clean, restock supplies, wipe surfaces, empty waste, and mop floors.
• Assist supervisor as needed.
• Report building issues such as clogged urinals and faulty lights.
• Go between buildings for shower cleaning (across the street).
• Collect and dispose of trash daily, replace liners.
• Perform high dusting and wall washing.
• Use heavy-duty machines, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle garbage changes.

Requirements
