Martket is a dynamic and award-winning agency with cross-functional operations in medical devices, consumer textiles, and branded merchandise. As a Heat Press Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating heat press machines to transfer designs onto various materials, such as garments, textiles, and promotional products. The ideal candidate will have experience with heat press machinery and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality output.

Martket Textile is a registered manufacturer and decorator of fashion and consumer textiles. Our in-house textile services include fashion design, cut & sew manufacturing, contract apparel decoration, and retail finishing. We design and manufacture activewear and lifestyle apparel under our own brand Tonic Active and are a proud private-label manufacturing and decoration partner to various other fashion brands and retailers. Our Made in Canada manufacturing operations feature both small-batch and mid-scale production capabilities, while our vertically integrated approach allows our brand partners to streamline operations, optimize supply chain management, ensure product quality, and maintain a competitive edge without having to outsource offshore.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate heat press machines to transfer designs onto products according to specifications.
2. Prepare materials for pressing, including arranging and positioning items on the press.
3. Adjust machine settings, such as temperature and pressure, to ensure optimal results.
4. Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
5. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of heat press machines.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
7. Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Heat Press Machine Operator or similar role.
2. Experience in the garment printing or promotional products industry is an asset.
3. Familiarity with heat press machines and related equipment.
4. Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
6. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20-30 pounds.
