The Healthy Family Program is seeking a dedicated Healthy Family Worker to help empower families and build connections within the community. In this role, you will focus on building family strengths, offering guidance, and connecting families to cultural and community resources. You will provide family-led, one-on-one support for parents with children aged 0-6, promoting responsive caregiving, healthy child development, family wellbeing, and access to vital services.
We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of community resources, child development and parenting skills, as well as an understanding of the impact of addictions and family violence on children. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and cross-culturally with a trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and respectful approach.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Social Work, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with families (0-6 years); or equivalencies can include a Certificate in Early Childhood Education or Social Work, and two (2) years of experience working with families (0-6 years).
