Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health and safety programs across an assigned portfolio. The role provides guidance, resources, and best practices to meet organizational and legislative requirements, while supporting on-site safety programs and education.

The successful candidate will collect and interpret safety data, contribute to WHS reporting tools, and build relationships with internal and external partners

Qualifications

  • Completion of an OHS certificate/diploma/degree or equivalent.
  • CRSP/CRST designation or related OHS certification preferred.
  • Experience with ergonomic assessments, fit-testing, investigations, and hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate WHS programs within an assigned portfolio.
  • Develop resources and update educational materials; coordinate and deliver education.
  • Conduct or support inspections, respirator fit testing, incidents, and investigations.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret safety data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with WHS committees, academic institutions, and government partners to improve WHS outcomes.
