Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead a dedicated team and safeguard our facility in Oshawa. You will supervise security officers, coordinate with law enforcement, and manage risk mitigation while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders. A valid Security Guard license and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security supervisory experience.
• Valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR certificate.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Asset: Police Foundations or related diploma.
• Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a team of security officers and provide guidance and training.
• Conduct performance evaluations and give constructive feedback.
• Monitor surveillance, alarm, and access control systems to detect breaches.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with facilities management and clinical services to address concerns.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
• Serve as liaison between security and other departments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-year Security Supervisory experience preferably in government building, high profile sites, healthcare etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
• Valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR certificate
• Police Foundations, Community Justice Services or Law Enforcement Diploma would be an asset.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a team of security officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance and professionalism.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and prevent security breaches.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as necessary to address security incidents effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as facilities management and clinical services, to address security concerns and implement proactive measures.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, for various scenarios such as fire, active shooter, or natural disasters.
• Serve as a liaison between security personnel and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Pay Rate - $25.11
