Payrate: $23.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activity immediately to appropriate authorities.
• Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
• Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergencies such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats; assist staff during crises and evacuations.
• Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff; provide directions and ensure adherence to policies.
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents and complete incident reports.
• Collaboration with Hospital Staff: Work with hospital staff and local law enforcement for coordinated security.
• Enforce Hospital Policies: Ensure policies are followed and address violations to uphold safety standards.

Prerequisites

• Clear criminal background check (Vulnerable Sector Check)
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (CSA-approved)
• Valid Class 5 Driver License
• English (oral and written) fluency
• Previous security, law enforcement, or related field experience preferred
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Paladin UOF/MOAB training option available prior to onboarding; costs covered by Paladin with 6-month commitment
