Job Skills / Requirements

We are actively recruiting Full-time and Part-time Security Officers for the South Shore area (Bridgewater and Lunenberg). Priority given to those willing to take shifts at various locations. Pay rate is $20.50/hour.

Duties

1. Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from the public.
2. Monitor entrances and ensure visitors follow Public Health guidelines.
3. Patrol client properties on foot to prevent unauthorized entry and politely direct disruptive individuals to leave.
4. Provide specialized security services and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
5. Follow and enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
6. Respond to and report irregularities, breaches, hazards, and emergencies.
7. Use radios, handheld devices, and computer applications to communicate site activity.
8. Write clear, comprehensive reports including daily activity and incident reports.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor.
• Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and respond to emergencies under pressure.
• Discretion when handling confidential information.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age.

Ideal Candidate

• Provides exceptional customer service with a friendly attitude.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Holds or is willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Has prior security experience.

All officers must carry a valid Nova Scotia Security License. Basic Security Training is provided.
