  • Site: Providence Care Hospital- 752 King St West
  • Hours: Continental Rotation - 0800-2000/2000-0800
  • Payrate: $22.61/hour
  • Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Start Date: October 3, 2025

Internal posting date: September 3, 2025

Job Responsibilities
  • Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
  • Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
  • Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to):
  • Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols
  • Response & assistance in emergency situations
  • Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift
  • Investigate routine incidents
  • Patient watches
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Parking & smoking by-law enforcement
  • Hospital policy awareness & enforcement
  • Access control/key control
  • Monthly safety inspections
  • Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
  • A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
  • Steps to get your immunization records

Immunization Form

  • KHSC Immunization Forms
  • Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V and Pertussis immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
  • English proficiency (oral & written) is required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
  • 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin\'s Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

  • Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
  • Valid Ontario Security License
