Qualifications

• Mindestens 6 Monate Erfahrung im Sicherheitsdienst erforderlich.
• Zertifikate in der Anwendung von Gewalt und Aggressionsmanagement sind von Vorteil.

Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Casual Quinte Health

Site: Quinte Health Hospitals - (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and North Hastings)

Hours: Various Shifts

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Pay Rate: $18.00/hourly

Job Responsibilities:

• Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
• Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
• Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
• Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to):
  • Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols
  • Response & assistance in emergency situations
  • Documenting & reporting of security events
  • Investigate routine incidents
  • Patient watches
  • Parking & smoking by-law enforcement
  • Hospital policy enforcement
  • Access control/key control
  • Monthly safety inspections
  • Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid G license
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
• Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, TB Skin Tests)
• 6+ months security experience required; previous healthcare security experience preferred
• 1+ year of security experience preferred
• Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
• Reliable working vehicle
• Ability to site train/redeploy at all 4 QHC facilities
• Must be able to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test (clean shaven)
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) or willingness to complete training prior to onboarding
