Pay & Travel Incentives

  • Premium hourly wages | $22-$26/hr (based on experience)

Note: This is a mobile/on-call role requiring consistent travel across rural sites.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of patients, clinical staff, and visitors using de-escalation and (if necessary) physical intervention
  • Respond quickly and calmly to alarms and emergencies across a variety of medical facilities
  • Conduct patrols and report incidents in accordance with health site protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Monitor and screen incoming visitors with professionalism and respect
  • Log detailed reports of patient interactions, security incidents, and hospital staff concerns
  • Utilize two-way radios and internal communication tools for daily operations
  • Enforce safety codes and hospital policies with tact and empathy
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff and Protective Services personnel
  • Handle high-stress or emotionally charged situations with poise and professionalism


Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willing to travel up to 400-500 km within the assigned zone
  • Available for 12-hour shifts, both day and night, at least 3 shifts per week
  • Willing to work weekends and overnights as part of rotating schedule
  • Able to walk 18-20 km per shift and climb stairs regularly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong report writing and situational assessment skills
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused demeanor
  • Willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License (Paladin can assist with licensing process)
