Healthcare Professional (RRT/RN/RPN) (Full-Time - 18 month contract w/ benefits) - St. Catharines, ON

About the Role

The Healthcare Professional is responsible for initiating prescribed respiratory therapy in the Medigas office or client home, including assessment, education, documentation, and follow-up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance. The role also involves promoting Medigas products and services to referral sources, including conducting educational in-services to medical and healthcare communities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Initiate and monitor prescribed respiratory therapy in clients' homes, including assessments, education, documentation, and follow-up.
  2. Deliver and exchange equipment in clients' homes, which may include heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs).
  3. Conduct in-home client visits, including long-distance travel.
  4. Perform in-office consultations with sleep and oxygen clients.
  5. Conduct respiratory equipment in-service training with community partners.
  6. Promote products and services to referral sources.
  7. Build and maintain high-quality client and referral relationships.
  8. Ensure all duties are performed in compliance with safety standards.
  9. Support training and development of new employees as needed.
  10. Participate in a regular on-call rotation.
Qualifications
Education
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist or a Registered Nurse with current registration, or RPN.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferred.
  • Homecare and sales experience is an asset.
Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

  • Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Commitment to client and personal safety.
