Job Description - Healthcare Professional (RRT/RN) (Full-Time) - Moncton, NB (24002297)

Since the late 1960s, Medigas has been a leader in serving the Canadian healthcare market with the provision of home oxygen therapy, respiratory services, medical gases and related medical equipment. The Healthcare Professional is responsible for initiation of prescribed respiratory therapy in the Medigas office, or the client home including assessment, education, documentation, and follow-up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance. Promotion of Medigas products and services to referral sources, including educational in-services to medical/healthcare communities is an integral part of the job.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Initiate and monitor of prescribed respiratory therapy in clients’ homes including assessments, education, documentation and follow up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance with therapy
  2. Delivery and exchange of equipment in client’s homes may include heavy lifting of equipment up to 60lbs
  3. In home client visits may include long distance travel
  4. In office consultations with sleep and oxygen clients (Primarily Oxygen)
  5. Conduct respiratory equipment in-service training with various community partners
  6. Promotion of products and services to referral sources
  7. Build and maintain high quality client and referral relationships
  8. Perform all job duties in compliance with Safety standards
  9. Support in the training and development of new employees as needed
  10. Participate in a regular on-call rotation

Required Qualifications

Education

  1. Registered Respiratory Therapist or a Registered Nurse with current registration or LPN

Experience

  1. Minimum 2 years related experience preferred
  2. Homecare and sales experience an asset

  2. Ability to prioritize and multi-task

  4. Able to work under pressure and have strong sense of urgency
  5. Must possess commitment to client and personal safety
