Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) seeks a Policy Development Lead to align policy documents with our Vision, Purpose and Values and strategic direction. You will lead and support the creation, maintenance and evaluation of clinical and corporate policy materials.

Working across program areas, you will develop evidence-based policy documents, manage inventories, and communicate and educate stakeholders to ensure robust policy implementation and health care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related health discipline or public policy/English/communications.
• Five years of related experience including two years in policy development, implementation and evaluation.
• Exceptional business writing and editorial abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the creation, analysis and development of policy documents per Policy Framework.
• Collaborate with program areas to manage policy inventories effectively.
• Assist in creation, implementation, communication, education and evaluation of policy documents.
• Ensure robust, evidence-based policy documents are produced and maintained.
