Job description

About Us: We are a Vancouver-based biomedical leader specializing in cord blood banking and advanced perinatal healthcare solutions.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, tenacious, and relationship-driven Healthcare Outreach and Partnership Coordinator based in Toronto. The successful candidate will represent our innovative cord blood banking services, build strategic relationships with obstetricians, midwives, healthcare administrators, and hospitals, and facilitate partnerships that establish our company as the preferred provider in the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively initiate and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, particularly obstetricians, midwives, hospital administrators, and key decision-makers.
  2. Persuasively communicate the unique value and benefits of cord blood banking to healthcare providers to secure patient referrals.
  3. Strategically negotiate and establish hospital partnerships, positioning our company as the preferred provider over competitors.
  4. Employ high EQ to navigate challenging situations, build goodwill, and maintain robust stakeholder relations.
  5. Conduct stakeholder analysis and lobbying efforts up to government levels to facilitate support for partnerships and collaborations.
  6. Create, manage, or contribute to PR and media content, including social media videos, to leverage public opinion and influence policymakers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in fluent English (written and verbal).
  2. Proven ability to build influential relationships and secure meetings with busy, high-level professionals.
  3. Demonstrated tenacity, resilience, and initiative in previous roles involving sales, business development, lobbying, or public affairs.
  4. High emotional intelligence (EQ) to effectively handle resistance, build trust, and cultivate long-term relationships.
  5. Comfort and competence in media relations and public speaking.
  6. Ability to perform independent stakeholder research and influence decision-making processes from healthcare providers up to government officials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Background in healthcare, biomedical sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or related fields.
  2. Previous experience in healthcare-related lobbying, government relations, or hospital partnerships.
  3. Existing network and understanding of Ontario’s healthcare landscape.
  4. Experience creating or managing public-facing media content.
