A reputable healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant for the Theatre & Day Bed Unit in Windsor. The successful candidate will provide compassionate care to patients and assist with perioperative tasks. Previous experience in healthcare is preferred, and you will receive support to complete the Care Certificate. This role offers a competitive salary between £24,937 to £26,598 per annum, enhanced by a 5% Fringe payment.
Band 3 Healthcare Assistant (Prince Charles Eye Unit, Windsor)
PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary.
This is a part-time post for 30 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Prince Charles Eye Unit Theatre & Day Bed Unit.

A caring nature, good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has an interest in a career in ophthalmology day surgery.
You will be required to work on a rota basis Monday to Friday.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with the Registered Practitioners delivering high standard perioperative care to patients, assisting with admission and discharge to the unit, as well as preparing theatre, checking equipment and escorting patients to theatres.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as successful applicants will receive a comprehensive induction on commencing the post.

As part of the induction process, all new Healthcare Assistants will be supported to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate (attached document refers) developed by Health Education England, Skills for Health and Skills for Care (2015).
This fantastic opportunity will allow you to gain formal recognition for the skills and knowledge you develop within the first 12 weeks of employment within the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will provide high quality fundamental care to patients under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Practitioner in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner.

Providing individualised care for a diverse group of patients respecting personal beliefs and preferences.
Alert the Registered Practitioner and/or Ward/ Department Manager to any change or concern relating to the welfare of the patient in a timely manner.
