Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Health Services for Community Living (HSCL) Nurse participates in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating health services for adult clients/patients with developmental disabilities across various settings, aligned with the Vision and Mission of Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). Utilizing clinical expertise, the nurse acts as a resource, providing consultation and in-service training to nurses, physicians, program teams, service providers, and caregivers regarding client care and treatment. The nurse formally advises caregivers, delegates nursing tasks as needed, and is responsible for client assessment, education, and direct care, including teaching in both group and individual settings.
Travel is a requirement of this position, and transportation arrangements must meet operational needs, which may include the use of a personal vehicle.
