Position:
The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for two full-time (1.0 FTE) 2-year term instructor positions. The position will commence on July 1, 2024.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be a regulated member, in good standing, with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Applicants must have a Baccalaureate degree in nursing and preferably a Master’s degree. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, mentorship, and organizational skills, and maintain excellent working relationships with all nursing faculty, students, and service delivery partners. Candidates must demonstrate leadership in professional nursing practice in interdisciplinary settings. A thorough and current knowledge of nursing skills, procedures, and equipment related to nursing practice settings is required. The candidate will also have at least five years of nursing practice in acute medical and surgical settings; experience in maternal/child and pediatric practice is also desirable. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Academic Setting:
The CASN accredited four-year BN and 23-month BN After-Degree programs are offered in collaboration with Lethbridge College. Students practice in rural and urban settings including institutional and community locations. The University of Lethbridge has a reputation for providing a high-quality education.
