Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond seeks a College of Health Sciences Student Learning Assistant to support student learning across CHS, with emphasis on nursing and/or occupational science/therapy. On-campus, one-on-one and small-group work tailored to course needs.

You will collaborate with instructors and department leaders, participate in workshops, and contribute to study skills and exam preparation; hours vary with class schedules; a 3.0 GPA is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time EKU student in good academic standing.
• Completed at least one Essential Education course in quantitative reasoning or natural sciences.
• Maintains good academic standing with the University.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning in CHS, with emphasis on nursing and/or occupational science/therapy.
• Collaborate with the instructor, department chair, and college personnel to facilitate learning experiences.
• Engage with students on campus one-on-one or in small groups; may lead workshops on problem-solving, study skills, and exam prep.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and professional development sessions; work hours vary with class schedule and availability.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher to qualify.

Education

Full-time student at EKU

Completed at least one Essential Education course in quantitative reasoning or natural sciences

Be in good academic standing with the University
