Job summary

CrossSafety Solutions Inc. in Markham, Ontario, seeks a Health & Safety Principal to advise clients on construction and operations safety, ensure OH&S compliance, and guide risk management across complex projects.

This salaried, full-time role offers starting compensation of CAD 105,000 to CAD 125,000 per year, with extended health benefits, pension, and company car options; potential to convert to permanent status.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or certification in a construction trade with health and safety experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years field experience in construction or high hazard environments.
• CRSP, CSP, CHST, CIH or ROH designation and knowledge of Ontario OH&S laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on health, safety and environmental issues for projects.
• Advise project teams on hazard identification and protective measures.
• Contribute to design, planning, and operability reviews with health and safety input.
• Manage risks to workers and the public on live client sites.
• Conduct health and safety assurance audits and site inspections with corrective actions.
• Assist with incident investigations and reporting.
• Liaise with client staff and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare detailed professional reports and records.
