Job description

Parker Huggett has partnered with an established General Contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality ICI construction projects across Ontario. This GC is part of a larger group of companies encompassing civil works, condo development, and asset management. Projects include transit, LTC and retirement homes, hospitals, recreation centers, and government administrative buildings. Project values range from $10M-$100M. Over the past 30 years, our client has successfully delivered 200+ projects in these sectors.

With a new opportunity opening in the HSE department, Parker Huggett is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Passion for health and safety in the ICI construction sector
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to ensure HSE policy adherence while understanding project needs
  • Attention to detail, accurate report writing, and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to commute across the GTA to oversee ongoing projects
  • NCSO, Gold Seal, and/or CRSP designations preferred
  • Deep understanding of HSE policy requirements for Ontario
  • COR experience is an asset
About the Job

The Health & Safety Manager supports the implementation of all Health & Safety programs within the company. This role is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for all team members. It provides leadership, guidance, and expertise on health & safety strategies, standards, policies, and legislative compliance across projects. Reporting to the President, the Manager will lead the safety team towards a Best-in-Class standard.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, car allowance, holiday and flex days, RRSP matching, discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive health benefits plan.
