Job summary

The Coordinator, Health & Safety at DCC supports construction sites and regional offices by guiding health and safety practices and helping teams identify risks.

You will review contractor safety programs, monitor performance, and coach teams on compliance with provincial OH&S requirements and best practices.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; two years of relevant experience.
• CRSP designation or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of safety across project teams, offices, and sites.
• Provide guidance on contractual health and safety requirements and review contractor submissions.
• Investigate incidents, coordinate reporting, and help teams develop corrective actions.
• Build partnerships with project teams, contractors, and regulators to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead safety meetings, trainings, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
