WHAT’S THE JOB?

As a Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Coordinator, reporting to the Director, Access Solutions and Relocatable Structures, you will monitor Horizon North's safety program to ensure the completion of necessary documentation and implementation of required controls. You will also be responsible for ensuring that information regarding health and safety is prepared, issued, and distributed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Your work will include:

  1. Delivering an integrated Occupational Health and Safety program for the Horizon North Access Solutions and Relocatable Structures Division.
  2. Maintaining a high standard of internal customer care and contributing toward the development of customer service excellence.
  3. Ensuring safety meetings such as toolbox talks, pre-job hazard assessments, field-level hazard assessments, and equipment inspections are conducted.
  4. Reviewing and assisting in the administration of Corporate Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment Policies and Procedures.
  5. Collaborating with work crew supervisors to ensure all workers follow HSEQ expectations.
  6. Reporting monthly safety statistics to the Group Services HSE Manager.
  7. Facilitating information sharing between subcontractors and all impacted parties.
  8. Communicating, coordinating, and documenting the emergency response plan.
  9. Conducting onsite incident investigations and completing reports using HSEQ software, participating in executive review meetings.
  10. Performing onsite field visits in Montney and Duvernay basins to monitor work and ensure compliance.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of or enrollment in a specialized Occupational Health and Safety training program (asset)
  • 2 to 5 years’ relevant safety experience in oil & gas service or construction
  • Knowledge of current occupational health and safety regulations
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to meet site requirements, including potential after-hours
