Job description

You as a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager (Building Group) will :

  • The HSE team develops policies, strategies, standards, internal controls, along with technical systems and tools to centrally help manage our risk and improve HSE performance across the organization and its projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a specific HSE management system that supports compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, and codes for all company operations and assets.
  • Support incident reporting and investigations. Compile, analyze, interpret, and report on potential incident trends to Senior Leaders and the VP, HSE.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Managers to support building operations and ensure compliance with HSE laws and regulations, including routine audits.
  • Develop initiatives, programs, and tools to support awareness and strengthen our safety culture.
  • Work with internal teams and business lines to share best practices and innovative ideas that drive continuous improvement.
  • Create effective, operations-focused tools and procedures.
  • Support incident reporting and investigations.

  • Strong understanding of HSE management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • High technical expertise with the ability to apply skills toward continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Leadership qualities and a desire to be part of a company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fast-paced, client-first, results-oriented culture.
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration degree.
  • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
