About The Role

The Health & Safety Coordinator will support the regional Health & Safety Manager and business team in implementing health and safety management systems and processes. You will provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amrize Standards, policies, and regulations, acting as a strategic partner and technical expert on hazard recognition and risk mitigation. This role is based in our Edmonton Ellwood office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health and safety coaching to site leadership and safety committees.
  • Facilitate and coordinate training sessions such as annual startups and supervisor seminars.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop safe work procedures to meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Investigate serious incidents and assist with compliance inspections and orders.
  • Coordinate audits, support continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in HSEMS audits.
  • Assist in developing H&S policies, guidance, and best practices, and support claim management and injury prevention.
  • Support communication efforts with stakeholders, sharing lessons learned, KPIs, and alerts.
  • Promote a safety culture through effective communication and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in construction.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Approximately 15% travel required within North America.
  • Effective communicator with knowledge of provincial regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to wear PPE, including respirators.
