Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Health and Safety Co-op in Cambridge, ON for a 4-month term. The role focuses on supporting the Global Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (GEHSMS) implementation and ongoing activities.

You will assist in incident investigations, EHS risk assessments, training, and communications, building relationships with the national EHS team and site stakeholders while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a university degree or college diploma in health and safety, environmental, engineering, science or business.
• Strong leadership and influencing abilities with stakeholders.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports implementation and sustainment of the GEHSMS.
• Assist in investigating EHS incidents and develop root cause analyses.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments and implement control actions.
• Collects and analyzes incident trend reports for key metrics.
• Facilitates execution and tracking of the EHS training plan.
• Develops and distributes EHS communications.
• Maintains EHS records to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Supports annual EHS objectives for the location.
• Keeps up-to-date with applicable legislation and standards.
