Brief Overview Of The Job
Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and healthy work environment? We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Health, Safety, and Wellness Officer to join our team and make a meaningful impact at Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN). Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and implementing health and safety programs, policies, and training to help create a safer workplace for all. The position also handles workplace investigations, manages WorkSafeBC claims, and supports the return-to-work planning process, supports Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOSH) and generates HR metrics to evaluate and improve health and safety performance.

The candidate should be a team player, proactive, and possess strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders. Additionally, they should be committed to fostering diversity, promoting First Nations initiatives, and continuously learning and improving.
