Job Responsibilities

Objective of the position :

  • Ensure Magna’s health, safety, and environmental policies are followed at Toronto City Delivery.
  • Conduct monthly site inspections and report findings.
  • Develop site waste and energy management programs.
  • Manage health and safety training programs, ensuring documentation is up to date.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Implement site HSE policies aligned with Magna’s global policies.
  • Conduct toolbox talks to educate staff.
  • Support healthy living programs from Magna International.
  • Coordinate site participation in health-related charities.
  • Implement EASE audits for health and safety compliance.
  • Track findings and support projects to reduce health and safety issues.
  • Report findings during monthly employee meetings.
  • Develop waste and energy management programs, supporting proper waste separation and energy reduction.
  • Implement waste and energy reduction projects and report improvements.
  • Support site enrollment in HSElinx and report monthly waste and energy data.
  • Review and adapt training requirements; monitor staff training compliance.
  • Monitor staff drivers’ abstracts and police reports as required.
