Your opportunity
Dillon’s Health & Safety (H&S) group is looking for a Health & Safety Analyst to join our team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on positively influencing our health and safety performance and our safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities
What your day will look like
Reporting directly to the Director, Health Safety, the successful candidate will be an important contributing member in a small team of Health & Safety professionals. Specific responsibilities include :
Health & Safety Performance Reporting and Analysis
- Subject matter expert for Dillon’s Vector third-party H&S software platform, including building checklists and forms, managing access, LMS content, dashboards, and system integration. Collaborate with Dillon’s IT department and liaise with the Vector team to ensure system efficiency and objectives are maintained.
- Maintain and analyze health and safety records, including training, hazards/incidents, audit assessments, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Maintain and analyze the health and safety incident reporting and field assessment database.
- Track progress towards meeting Health & Safety objectives and targets.
- Prepare H&S performance reports, scorecards, and charts by collecting information, conducting research, analyzing data, identifying trends, and formatting reports to support decision-making.
- Manipulate and analyze data sets, pivot tables, and Excel/Google worksheets. Expertise in Power BI or similar data software is an asset for generating dashboards.
Health & Safety Administration
- Maintain health & safety pre-qualifications, contractor approval programs, and vendor management systems (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks).
- Support the development and maintenance of H&S training content.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry, formatting, proofreading, document control, and preparing reports, letters, and memos.
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling, conferences, and travel arrangements.
- Investigate, recommend, and implement technological solutions for data management, meetings, and training.
- Organize materials and logistics for meetings; record and prepare minutes and actions.
- Revamp and maintain H&S communication pages/portal for functionality and user-friendliness.
- Handle inquiries via phone, email, or in person, escalating as needed.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures related to controlled documents and workflows.
- Manage production of WCB clearance certificates and H&S proposal information.
- Perform other duties as required to support the H&S team’s success.

Qualifications
What will you need to succeed
- Degree or diploma in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, with preference for H&S and/or consulting experience.
Experience
- Experience with H&S prequalification databases (e.g., ISNetWorld, Avetta, Cognibox) is an asset.
- Experience with databases and intranet sites (e.g., SharePoint, WorkVivo, HTML).
- Experience handling confidential information, with knowledge of data privacy laws.
- Strong time-management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
