Your Opportunity

Dillon’s Health & Safety (H&S) group is seeking a Health & Safety Analyst to join our team of professionals. You will have the chance to influence our health and safety performance and our safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities
What your day will look like

Reporting directly to the Director, Health & Safety, the successful candidate will be a key member of a small team of H&S professionals. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Health & Safety Performance Reporting and Analysis: Serving as Dillon’s subject matter expert for the Vector third-party H&S software platform, managing checklists, forms, access, LMS content, dashboards, and system integration. Collaborating with Dillon’s IT department and liaising with the Vector team to ensure system efficiency.
  • Maintaining and analyzing health and safety records, including training, hazards/incidents, audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Maintaining and analyzing incident reporting and field assessment databases.
  • Tracking progress towards health & safety objectives and targets.
  • Preparing performance reports, scorecards, and charts by collecting, researching, and analyzing data, and identifying trends.
  • Manipulating data sets, creating pivot tables, and using Power BI or equivalent for dashboards.
Health & Safety Administration
  • Managing health & safety pre-qualifications, contractor approval, and vendor management systems.
  • Supporting development and maintenance of H&S training content.
  • Providing administrative support, including data entry, proofreading, document control, and report preparation.
  • Supporting calendar management, meetings, and logistics.
  • Organizing meeting materials and revamping communication portals.
  • Handling inquiries and maintaining policies related to controlled documents.
  • Managing WCB clearance certificates and H&S proposal info.

Qualifications
What will you need to succeed
  • Degree or diploma in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of related work experience, preferably with H&S or consulting background.
Experience
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Google Suite, Power BI, MS Office.
  • Experience with H&S prequalification databases is an asset.
  • Experience managing databases and intranet sites.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and knowledge of data privacy laws.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
