Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Administrator (Temp) to support the Canadian Health & Safety team across construction projects. You will maintain records, handle documentation, and assist with compliance activities.

Reporting to the Superintendent of Health & Safety Construction, you will generate reports and dashboards, track actions, and help with audits. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and solid Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Training in document control, records management, or compliance administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, supervisors, and management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with databases, reporting tools, and document management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Health & Safety team across multiple construction projects.
  • Maintain Health & Safety files, records, procedures, forms, and documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and distribution of Health & Safety communications and materials.
  • Ensure Health & Safety documentation is current, complete, and filed according to company standards.
  • Compile and maintain Health & Safety statistics, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Track safety observations, incident data, and compliance activities.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management and project teams.
  • Support compliance activities by maintaining regulatory records and ensuring required documentation is available.
  • Assist with internal and external audit preparation.
  • Maintain data within Health & Safety management systems, including the Risk Management and Monitoring System (RMMS).
  • Monitor the status of assigned actions and follow up with stakeholders regarding outstanding items.
  • Generate reports and dashboards from Health & Safety databases and systems.
  • Maintain employee and contractor training records.
  • Support onboarding processes by ensuring required Health & Safety documentation and training records are completed.
  • Act as a point of contact for Health & Safety administrative inquiries.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and distribute action items.
  • Liaise with project teams to obtain required information and documentation.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving Health & Safety administrative processes and reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline documentation, reporting, and record management practices.
  • Contribute to the standardization of Health & Safety administrative processes across projects.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Superintendent, Health & Safety Construction, the Health &Safety Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Canadian Health &Safety team throughout all phases of construction projects. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining Health &Safety records, coordinating documentation, supporting compliance and reporting processes, tracking corrective actions, and assisting with the administration of Health &Safety programs and systems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
