Island Health is seeking a Health Records Clerk to perform various record processing and analysis tasks. This entry-level, full-time position emphasizes patient safety and involves using computerized systems to manage health records. Job Description
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. The requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Coordinator or designate, and under the supervision of the Supervisor Records Processing, the Health Records Clerk performs a variety of record processing and analysis duties such as assembling health records, processing discharged records, and checking patient records to ensure completion, utilizing a variety of computerized systems and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12 and one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
