Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority in Weyburn seeks a Health Educator - Staff to coordinate and deliver oral health prevention and promotion activities in the community. This role serves children, pre-postnatal groups, seniors and others with all abilities, as part of the Primary Health Care umbrella.

Reporting to the Manager, you will provide consultation and information to communities, individuals and partners, with travel required to reach diverse populations across the region.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Dental Therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Knowledge of provincial health and education programs.
• Ability to diagnose dental decay/abscesses and identify oral abnormalities.

Job Description: The Health Educator - Staff, reporting to the Manager, is responsible for assessing, coordinating, and delivering oral health prevention and promotion activities in the community. The Health Educator - Staff provides programs to children, pre-postnatal groups, senior populations, and others with all abilities. This position is an integral part of the Primary Health Care umbrella and works to promote oral health and provide consultation and information to communities, individuals, and others in the community.
