Position Summary
We are currently seeking a permanent part time (0.60 FTE) Health Care Worker – Adult program to join our Mental Health (MH) Adult Program team in Princeton, B.C.

What will you work on?
The Health Care Worker – Adult Program assists clients with mental, developmental and/or physical disabilities to live successfully in the community by determining appropriate care to meet individual needs and situational requirements. Provides a variety of day to day physical, emotional, and social supports, advocacy, life skills assistance, information, resources and demonstrations to enable independent living within a range of housing options. This position is administratively responsible to the Program Manager, Adult Mental Health Services.

Scheduling Information:
Days of work are Wednesday to Friday and shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
  1. Grade 12
  2. Human Service or Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma plus a Community Mental Health Certificate
  3. Class V BC Driver’s License
  4. Certificates in CPR, First Aid, and Food Safe
  5. Recent related experience of two years’ working with people with serious and persistent mental illness in the community. Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary and multi-agency context supporting persons with mental illness.
