About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Health Care Social Worker (Masters), Team Lead coordinates, monitors and evaluates the efficient provision of social work practice as it relates to their clinical team area. Coordination includes facilitating the orientation of Social Workers, program planning and evaluation including developing and utilizing outcome measures, supporting clinical quality initiatives, liaising between the team and departmental committees and fostering team processes that progress a continuum of client care. The team lead works closely with other team leads to ensure consistent, equitable, timely and coordinated care is provided to the clients.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from a recognized university
  • Registered with the NSCSW
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience as a clinical Social Worker required
  • Previous leadership experience considered an asset
  • BCLS
  • Strong counselling and communication skills
  • Capacity to achieve a high degree of autonomous practice
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team context
  • Knowledge of issues related to family violence, sexual abuse, addictions, grief and loss, end of life, disability, crisis intervention, caregiving and continuum of care and intervention skills that come from knowledge of theoretical frameworks/approaches to practice
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Full-time Long Assignment position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Travel will be required
  • This position is located in Western Zone, site to be determined on successful candidate.
Compensation and Benefits

$47.78 - $57.10 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
