Duties include:

  1. Providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, supervising medication, and light housework.
  2. Adhering to the client's Care Plan, which outlines the individual nature of services.
  3. Facilitating social interactions and activities, offering companionship.
  4. Communicating any changes or concerns regarding client needs/care to the office.
  5. Complying with Health & Safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Completion of at least 2 modules: QQI Care Skills and QQI Care of the Older Person.
  2. A minimum of one year's experience in a healthcare setting.
  3. Hold a full driver's license and own transport.
  4. Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness.
  5. A good understanding of GDPR, especially its importance in working with the elderly.
  6. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  7. Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  8. An ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  9. Ideally, you will have prior experience caring for an older person in their home.
  10. Most importantly, you must be passionate about improving the lives of others.
